Registered sex offender beaten to death in Reservoir Hill
"Man beaten with traffic cone, witness says.
As many as 10 people were involved. The incident is an active homicide investigation. The incident was captured on one of the city's crime cameras.
Police tried to resuscitate R when they arrived at the scene. He died at a hospital.
R just got out of jail a few days ago as a result of his guilty plea to second-degree assault. The case that put him on the sex offender registry dates to 2003."
